AutoApply Extension - Privacy Policy

The Extension fills in job-application forms on supported applicant-tracking sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workable) using the signed-in user’s saved profile. It only acts on those sites and only when the signed-in user initiates a fill.

• Account & authentication: the email and password you enter to sign in are sent to our backend to authenticate you. We do not store your password in the Extension; only a session token is kept locally (via the browser’s extension storage).
• Applicant profile data: to fill forms, the Extension retrieves profile information from our backend - such as name, contact details, address, work-authorization status, employment and education history, résumé, and answers to common application questions.
• Job-page content: on supported sites, the Extension reads the application form’s fields and the job description in order to determine what to fill.
• Submission record: a snapshot of the final field values may be sent to our backend to record what was submitted.

Solely to provide the autofill feature: authenticating you, retrieving the correct profile, generating appropriate answers for application questions, and populating the form. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

• Our backend (hosted with our cloud provider), which stores your profile and processes autofill requests.
• A third-party AI provider, used by our backend to generate answers to application questions. Form fields and relevant profile data are sent for this purpose.
• The job-application websites you apply on - i.e., the data you choose to submit through the filled form.

The Extension stores your session token and selected options locally using the browser’s extension storage. Transmission to our backend uses HTTPS.

Profile and application data are retained per our backend data policy: retained while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request.

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at charu@rolestack.ai. Logging out clears the locally stored session token.

The Extension is not directed to children under 16 and is intended for job seekers.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
